[Telugu Poem] జీవితం, అలుపెరుగని ప్రయాణం

అడుగులు వినపడక
అస్సలు కనపడక
ఒక్కసారిగా తగిలి టప్పుకున పట్టెను ఖేదం

ఆశలు, కలలు, ఆనందాలు
చీకటి చెరసాలలో బందీ అయిన ఆ క్షణం
రంగులు మారెను జీవితం
అసలు రంగులు చూపిరి చుట్టూ ఉన్న జనం

అడుగు - వేయలేని దూరం
కేశములు - మోయలేని భారం
ఆసక్తి, కాంక్ష శూన్యం
శరీరం ఒక జీవత్సవం
అయినా ఆగదు హృదయం, పోదు ప్రాణం

తళ్ళుక్కుమని మెరిసెను చిన్ని సంకల్పం
జీవితం కాదు బృందావనం, ఇది అరణ్యం
ఆశపడే పూల మార్గం ఊహాజనితం
అడవిలో ముళ్ల బాటలే సహజం
బాటసారికి కొన్నిసార్లు చిందక తప్పదు రక్తం

చీకట్లో మిణుగురు అయినా
రాత్రిపూట జాబిల్లి అయినా
గర్జించే మెరుపైనా
కరిగే కాగడా అయినా

నిశీథిని చీల్చే ఏ చిన్న ఉపాయం అయినా
భయాన్ని, బాధని పక్కకు నెట్టి
దాని చేయి పట్టి
రక్తానికి పసుపు పెట్టి , గాయానికి కట్టు కట్టి
జాగ్రత్తగా ముందుకు కదిలెను పాదం
ఇదే మానవ జీవన పరిణామ క్రమం

[Opinion] Nationalism in current times

India is having extraordinary Olympics at Tokyo. Whole country is celebrating the success of our players which is good to see. It is definitely a happy, proud and inspiring moment for all the citizens. I remember how I was inspired after watching story of Milkha Singh in his biopic. In fact, it still inspires me every time I watch. Please don't ask me what I have done with all that inspiration though! Our Olympics performance might hopefully change the attitude towards sport in our country. Maybe from now children who show interest in sports rather than education (read engineering and medicine) and will not be criticized or mocked for doing so . Out pour of national jubilation over winning of Gold Medal in Javelin Throw made me think about nationalism, what it means and its possible downsides. Note : Winning a medal in Olympic track and field after 120 years, which is also the first ever Gold for India in Olympic track and field is an extraordinary feat, one surely worthy of celebr...

[Book Review] A Man called Ove by Fredrik Backman

Plot : This book is a character based novel. It's about a grumpy old man called Ove who is old fashioned, introverted, thinks that rules are important for life, and does little else other than work at office and home. He starts being happy when he finds the love of his life who is quite opposite to him in many of the ways. She is extroverted, fun loving and reads a lot as she enjoys abstract things as well. The book is about how Ove has reacted to the departure of the only person that understood him from his life. What does he do when he finds himself in an ocean of loneliness? Positives : Characters are very well written, especially the lead character of Ove. His life is explained in detail starting from his childhood to the time of the story. Incidents which are explained makes you feel for Ove however grumpy he is. Other characters, surrounding the main character, are also well written.
